Malahide Credit Union - CU on Main Street

After a period of almost 40 years and much deliberation, Malahide & District Credit Union Limited is moving from Railway Avenue to their new premises on Main Street, Malahide, with a view to providing higher visibility, more efficient operations, enhancing services and growing membership.

We are now in a time when every community needs a strong Credit Union to help them through the economic recession. It has become apparent that members require more services and greater accessibility to services, and Malahide Credit Union believes the move will play a key role in driving this.

Manager of Malahide Credit Union, Vivienne Keavey, said: “Our view is that to continue the success that we have enjoyed in the past, we need to build on it for our future. We believe that there is strength in numbers and unity and as we move well into 2011, we are in no doubt as to the challenges that we face as a country. The banking system is still in difficulty and severe government cuts are being implemented. Malahide Credit Union is watching these national trends and aware of the steps that have to be taken to improve financial services and protect our members. We will continue to operate from our current offices at Railway Avenue until the official launch of the new premises later in the year and we look forward to seeing you on Main Street very soon!

Malahide & District Credit Union Ltd. was founded in 1969 and has successfully been serving the community ever since. Directed by a voluntary Board of Directors, elected by the members at the annual general meeting, the Credit Union offers a wide range of services.
