Everbuild Dublin Ladies Gaelic Football Féile Competition - Malahide

One of the highlights of the Juvenile Year is the Everbuild Dublin Ladies Gaelic Football Féile Competition held each April in Dublin.

This year, the competition shall bring together 33 Under-14 teams to play in a blitz league on Saturday, 17th April 2010 in four venues: St. Peregrine's, Mulhuddart; St. Sylvesters, Malahide; Ballyboden St. Enda's, Firhouse Road; and Kilmacud Crokes, Stillorgan.

33 teams is a new record, seven more than last year's record. A record 30 clubs will make up that number and on Sunday in Kilmacud, twelve teams will compete in three divisional finals.

The lucky Division 1 winners shall represent Dublin in National Féile na nÓg which will be hosted by Derry this summer. 700 girls shall take part this year.

Dublin is this year's European Capital of Sport and the organisers hope that Ladies Gaelic Football will get some high profile coverage from this.

The ethos of Féile is enjoyment, although picking up one of the three Cups on offer is a bonus!
