Dublin, and the rest of the country, is thankfully set to keep on moving over the coming days thanks to the efforts of all involved in the transport network.
Luas, Dart, Dublin Bus, Irish Rail and Bus Eireann services are all anticipating fully operational services as the snow and ice are set to return to Dublin in the lead up to Christmas.
According to the Evening Herald, Dublin Bus operated 95% of its route during the last bad spell - although a few black spots, such as canal bridges, caused problems. The Luas and DART were largely unaffected, but the condition of all but the main roads is set to pose problems again.
Luckily for the Malahide area, Fingal County Council is following the national strategy of ensuring that motorways, national primary roads, and main public transport networks remain open during the expected forthcoming adverse weather conditions.
People are being advised to only travel if necessary during the snow and ice; to use public transport; and to remember to visit elderly relations and neighbours who may have food and heating requirements.
