Malahide Musical Society - Award Nominations

Best of luck to Malahide Musical Society who have received several nominations, as part of the Association of Irish Musical Societies (A.I.M.S.), for their production of 'Pirates of Penzance'. They have been nominated in the Best Overall Show, Best Chorus and Best Comedian categories.

This is a fantastic achievement for their society and for Malahide as a community.

The awards shall be presented on Sunday, 19th June 2011 at the INEC Killarney, and they are very hopeful to receive at least one award.

Rising Star Stage School - Ghostbusters meet The Wizard of Oz

Rising Star Stage School, a local stage school for primary children, rehearse weekly in Pope John Paul II N.S., Malahide.

The children shall stage their annual production on Saturday, 21st May 2011 and Sunday, 22nd May 2011, in Malahide Community School (Pobal Scoil Iosa) Hall, at 7pm.

This year, the show consists of two family favourites with a bit of a twist!

"Ghostbusters meet The Wizard of Oz".

Tickets cost €8 and are available by calling 0863214436.

This is a fun and exciting show for all the family and one definitely not to be missed!

Malahide Community School - Plant Sale

Malahide Community School's Parents' Association shall hold their Annual Plant Sale on Saturday, 14th May 2011 and Sunday, 15th May 2011 from 10am until 4:30pm each day.

There shall be a wonderful selection of quality bedding plants and herbs at good value; a fantastic selection of hanging baskets, tubs and window boxes; and coffee, tea and snacks available.

A raffle shall take place on Sunday, 15th May 2011 with tickets available on the day. Raffle prizes include a weber gas barbeque, garden bench, garden lanterns and much more.

All are welcome on the day to support this fundraising event for the school.
